Alternative Title

Used in: Movie, TV show

Some movies and TV shows are marketed under more than one name. Maybe the title differs from the theatrical release to the optical disc release, or a film has a different name in certain countries (though not as a translation, but in the movie or TV show's original language).

If that is the case, you can add additional titles in the Alternative title field. Multiple titles can be added.

Note: The title under which the film or TV show was released/marketed originally, is added to the Title field, where all other titles are added here.

Examples

  • Chris Tarrant: Extreme Railways: The TV show appears to be marketed both as “Chris Tarrant: Extreme Railways” and “Chris Tarrant: Extreme Railway Journeys”
  • Star Wars: Originally released under “Star Wars”, the film later was marketed as “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope”
