The budget field contains two values: The currency and the amount. Only one value is allowed, hence we add the amount in the movie's production country's currency. If the budget is only available in a “foreign” currency, it is okay to use this value for the OFDb. In that case, this is actually preferred than converting the amount into the appropriate currency.

Currencies are added in their ISO 4217 code and the amount must be a natural number.

There is also a “Estimated” checkbox that you can tick, if no official number is available and the budged is an estimation. Note, however, that you must not add your own estimation, but from a trusted source only.

• SoulMate: While the movie was produced in China, the budget was available in US Dollars only. Hence, the budget was added to the OFDb in US Dollars.
• Sully: An estimated budget from a reliable source is added
