Network

Used in: TV show

In the network field you can chose the TV show's (original) network. While you can add multiple networks, it is currently not possible to add a network per country/region. To add a network, simply use the field's search widget, and select the desired entry accordingly. To add another network, simply click on the “Add another item” button.

If you can't find the network(s) you're looking for, simply add them in the “network” taxonomy.

Please add the original network only—we don't want all TV stations that ever broadcasted a TV show. TV shows are “ordered” by a TV station or streaming service, and we want (only) this entry in the field.

If a TV show changed its network, we add the current network first, and descend the other entries by time (as in the “oldest”, first network as last).

Some TV channels produce TV shows themselves. However, the production company isn't added under network, but in the “production company” field (even if it the network and production company is the same).

How to identify the network?

If you are watching a TV show on TV, the network is the channel you are watching the TV show on. When using a streaming service, the streaming service is considered the network (if it's an “original”).

Examples

  • The Expanse: Originated on Syfy and was taken over by Prime Video
  • Snowfall: Aires on FX, and is co-produced by FX Productions (the network's production branch)
  • The Good Lord Bird: Aired on, and co-produced by Showtime
