The Release date field contains the release date of the movie or episode. No partial dates (i.e. only the year) are allowed, but only the full date.

As of now, the OFDb allows you to add one date only. While streaming releases often have one worldwide release date only, there might be multiple theatrical or broadcasting release dates. If this is the case, add the release date in the production country of the media (and in case of multiple production countries, the earliest date among them is the one to add).

If you only have the release date outside of the production country, rather add this date than none at all. If there are multiple release dates, add the earliest one available.
