The runtime field contains the length of a movie or episode in minutes. Seconds must be rounded to minutes (0-29 rounding down, and 30-59 rounding up).

If you're saving a movie, and the system complains that the runtime field is empty, you must remove the empty form before saving. You can do so by clicking the three dots next to the empty runtime form, and then click “Remove”.

For movies, you can add multiple runtimes to specify different runtimes per version. To do so, you start typing the version you're looking for in the version field (i.e. theatrical release), and then add the runtime in the runtime field. If you want to add a new runtime for a different version, you can simply click the “Add runtime” button underneath the already existing runtime, and a new version- and runtime field appears.

As of now, the OFDb front-end shows only one runtime: either the theatrical, streaming, or broadcasting release. If none of these is added to the OFDb, the first runtime available is displayed. Nevertheless we want to have multiple runtimes in the database: The goal of the OFDb is to be an extensive database in quality and quantity.

In most cases, a movie will have exactly one of these version: theatrical release, a streaming release, or a broadcasting release (depending how it was initially released). Only if the runtime differs for these version, it is allowed to have, for example, a theatrical release and a steaming release. If a movie was shown in cinema, and later was released on Netflix as well, only add the theatrical release runtime (given that the runtime is the same).

In addition to its initial release, a movie might be released in a different cut with a different runtime (i.e. Director's Cut). If that's the case, we want this runtime in the OFDb as well. If you try to add a version that is not yet existing in the OFDb, simply add it under Structure → Taxonomy → Versions → Add term.
